Common questions
Does TradePlanr really sync with FreeAgent?
Yes. TradePlanr connects to FreeAgent over a secure official connection and syncs your contacts, invoices, expenses and payments automatically — it isn't a manual export.
How do I connect FreeAgent?
In the TradePlanr app go to Profile → Payments & Accounting and tap Connect next to FreeAgent. You'll sign in to FreeAgent and approve access; TradePlanr never sees your password. Connecting is a Pro feature and starts with a 7-day free trial.
Can I connect more than one accounting package?
You connect one accounting provider at a time. If you switch, TradePlanr offers to disconnect the current one and connect the new provider instead.
Do I have to sync everything?
No. Automatic sync is a setting you can turn off at any time, and you can still export to Excel instead if you'd rather send your accountant a spreadsheet.
How are part-payments handled in FreeAgent?
TradePlanr records the exact payment against the invoice on its side. In FreeAgent a synced payment marks the invoice as paid, so for part-paid invoices we recommend reconciling the final amount in FreeAgent as normal.
