What flows into Sage

Keep working the way you do — TradePlanr keeps Sage Business Cloud Accounting up to date in the background.

Customers & contacts

The customer on a job is created as a contact the first time you sync work for them — no re-typing names and addresses.

Invoices

Every invoice you send from TradePlanr is pushed as a sales invoice with its line items, VAT and due date.

Expenses

Receipts and costs you log on site are pushed as bills, so your accountant sees the same figures you recorded — no double entry.

Payments

When you record a payment against an invoice, TradePlanr marks it paid in your books too, so your ledger stays reconciled.

Connect Sage in minutes

Connecting your accounting software is a TradePlanr Pro feature — start with a 7-day free trial, then £9.99/month.

  1. 1

Download TradePlanr free and finish setting up your business details.

  2. 2

Open Profile → Payments & Accounting and tap Connect next to Sage.

  3. 3

Sign in to Sage and approve access — TradePlanr never sees your Sage password.

  4. 4

Send an invoice, record a payment or save an expense and watch it appear in your books.

Recording a Sage payment needs a bank account set up in your Sage business.

Why trades connect their books

No more Sunday-night bookkeeping

Invoices, expenses and payments flow across automatically as you work — nothing to export, re-key or chase at month end.

Your accountant sees the real numbers

The costs and invoices you capture on the job are the ones in your books, so VAT returns and year-end are built on accurate data.

Works the way you already do

Keep sending invoices and logging expenses in TradePlanr. The sync runs in the background and never blocks what you're doing.

Prefer a spreadsheet?

You can also export jobs, quotes, invoices, payments and expenses to Excel for any date range (also a Pro feature) and hand it straight to your accountant.

Common questions

Does TradePlanr really sync with Sage?

Yes. TradePlanr connects to Sage Business Cloud Accounting over a secure official connection and syncs your contacts, invoices, expenses and payments automatically — it isn't a manual export.

How do I connect Sage?

In the TradePlanr app go to Profile → Payments & Accounting and tap Connect next to Sage. You'll sign in to Sage and approve access; TradePlanr never sees your password. Connecting is a Pro feature and starts with a 7-day free trial.

Can I connect more than one accounting package?

You connect one accounting provider at a time. If you switch, TradePlanr offers to disconnect the current one and connect the new provider instead.

Do I have to sync everything?

No. Automatic sync is a setting you can turn off at any time, and you can still export to Excel instead if you'd rather send your accountant a spreadsheet.

Which Sage product does this work with?

Sage Business Cloud Accounting. When you connect, TradePlanr uses your Sage business automatically, so there's nothing extra to pick.
